August 2026: The Children's Court of New South Wales has published its 2025 Annual Review. The Annual Review provides detailed insights into the work undertaken by the Court in the 2025 Calendar Year, including the following:
June 2026: The first volume of Children's Law News for 2026 has now been published and includes a number of cases that are of relevance to the Children's Court jurisdiction
May 2026: The protocol for the Children's Registrars conducting Care Call Overs has been updated and can be accessed on the Guidelines page.
March 2026: From 28 March 2026, following the commencement of the Local Court and Bail Legislation Amendment Act 2025, the titles of judicial officers in the Children's Court will change from Children's Magistrates to Children's Judges.
The change reflects the seriousness, complexity and judicial nature of work performed in the Children's Court.
February 2026: From 1 June 2026, changes to the Western Circuit listing arrangements will commence. The President of the Children's Court has approved changes to the sitting days for the Youth Koori Court and the Winha-nga-nha List at Dubbo Children’s Court.
