Content blocks allow users to select from multiple actions related to a topic or task. They include text, links, icons or images to help users find information quickly. It’s important to keep the content concise and use visuals purposefully to reinforce the content.
Refer to NSW Digital Design System - Content blocks for full guidance and demo on how and when to use this.
Content blocks can include the following elements:
Use this to provide a snapshot of the content.
An image or icon can be included to enhance visual appeal and aid users in understanding the content. If using icons, we recommend using material icons in .svg format to meet accessibility requirements.
Use a minimum of 1 link and a maximum of 6 links. There is no character limit for the links, however keeping links unique, short and concise is recommended.
This link is a call to action to navigate the user to a page or document containing more information about the topic. It is a separate link to the six in the content block. If using this link, be sure to give the link a meaningful name. Your link should explain clearly what information the reader will get by clicking on that link.
