Landing page

About

A landing page guides users towards exploring various top-level subjects. It commonly adopts a ‘card’ based layout, featuring links to a sub-landing page or a specific content page.

Purpose

  • To offer users an intuitive website navigation experience.
  • To facilitate user comprehension of each topic and aid in locating specific information.
  • To offer convenient access to frequently visited content.

Guidelines

  1. The Digital Experience Unit’s guidance should be sought on page layout and information architecture when designing a first level landing page.
  2. Use semantic headings to group similar topics on the landing page.
  3. Presenting too many links and quick access options can overwhelm users, making it challenging for them to locate content.
