DCJ Digital Design System

Footer

The footer is a fixed section located at the bottom of a website that provides information and links that are separate from the main navigation, but relevant to the entire site. It can include navigation links, copyright notices, feedback options, and an acknowledgment statement. It also serves to enhance the brand identity of a website, reinforcing its visual consistency and design elements.

Refer to NSW Digital Design System - Footer for full guidance and demo on  how and when to use this.

Customisation

Upper footer links (optional)

Section links are optional and can be displayed in two, three or four columns. They provide an option to link to external websites or internal site pages. Do not repeat the main navigation menu in these links. Upper footer links are an option for very large websites as they provide an additional way for users to quickly navigate to certain pages of the website.

Social media (optional)

If the agency has social media accounts, they can choose to show them in the footer.

Acknowledgement statement (required)

The Acknowledgement of Country shows respect, appreciation, and recognition to the First Peoples of NSW. The statement can be altered to convey the intended message.

Lower footer links (required)
